Staying Current

I just wanted the Angels to know that even though I no longer spend time in Arizona or have my trike any more, I do enjoy reading your accounts of rides. I especially enjoy seeing the pictures but don't recognize as many faces. Thanks so much for keeping me on the mailing list.

Saturday's Ride

Saturday's ride had 10 bikes with 15 riders ready to head to Fort McDowell casino and the 87 cafe. We were all pleased to have Michigan Mike McDonald come to the station to see us off. Also Kathy Jenson (aka Pink Lady) joined us for the ride. We headed up the Usery Pass Rd, and encountered several wild horses at the stop sign on the Bush Highway. We arrived at the casino and had a great and very economical meal served to us. Soon we were all fed and ready for further adventures, heading to Bartlett Lake. My GPS took us the wrong way initially, but got straightened out and headed in the right direction. Phil Parsons dropped off to visit someone at Rio Verde. We made it the 13 miles back to the lake off Cave Creek Road, encountering some loose gravel on the highway. After a brief rest stop, we headed back home via the 101 and 202, arriving back at GV at 2:45, with 166 miles traveled.

Wednesday's ride will be to Judy's Cookhouse in Globe, coming back via Winkleman, since it is supposed to be a little warmer.
