Saturday 8/27/22

We had three riders to go to breakfast. Mr. Max showed up on his Bicycle to tell us his bike will be down until next Saturday's ride. We decided on Payson airport. We had a 20 min. wait. We decided on going around 188 to 60 and home. It was a fun and good ride until we got to King Cayon Rd. Then it started to rain. We kept on riding home, We go a little wet but not too bad. We travel about 254 miles and got home at about 12:50.

Saturday 8/13/22

Well, we woke up to a cooler day for a ride. It was about 6::45 when Mr. Max and I decided on Maria in Hayden for our ride. We had a quick breakfast. and headed out for Globe. There we stopped for fuel. no messing around there either. We headed for home. I lead all the way, with my cruise set on 70, I'll tell you some of the curves were tight. We got home at 20 after 10. The trip was 148.9 miles in 3 1/2 hours I won't do that again. No ride Wed but will see Max, Jim, Jay, and me on Saturday 8/ 20 / 22. I hope

Wed 8/3/22

goldHello everyone, We are back. Mr, Max, and Linda are back early this season. I had an airport run Wed so we didn't get started until 7:45 am. There were 3 of us, and we thought it was going to be a good ride (WRONG). We got to the outskirts of Superior, and bang we got drowned and stopped at the Circle K, to put on our rain gear. Mr. Max and I had our gear but Jim B didn't. He did have a jacket. We waited for the rain to let up and headed for Minor on Main. Wrong again they were closed. The rain started up again while we headed back to the 60 and found a little hole in the hall restaurant. We all had a breakfast burrito and something to drink. We sat inside till the rain stopped. We checked the sky to decide what we were going to do. We didn't hesitate and headed for home, We got just about to gold canyon and more rain, you guessed it we didn't have our rain gear on, so we got wet. we got home at 10:00 am, with 82 miles on my speedo. What a day!

About the Blue's Angels

The “Blue’s Angels” was formed in 1995 by John H. Kelty. The name of the group came from John’s original 1993 1500 cc blue Goldwing which he named “Blue”. The "Angels" was chosen because all the riders are all such good little boys with their toys, and most of all because we wanted prayer involved as we rode and socialized.

Blue’s Angel's started with six bikes from the Golden Vista Resort in Apache Junction, AZ. and four from West Phoenix. There are now over 40 active, enthusiastic guys and girls. Every time “Blue” met a new person at Golden Vista he asks “why don't you buy a motorcycle?” Many did!

Blue’s Angels strive for comradeship while doing a fairly dangerous hobby and enjoying every minute of the time we ride. Blue loved people and wanted them to all feel the joy of riding as he did.

In the Spring of 2012, Blue handed the leadership of the group to Bill (Dollar Bill) Barrington who did so with the mutual agreement that it remained "Blue's Angels" and that while he would coordinate the rides and the general direction of the riders, John Kelty remained "THE MAN"

Unfortunately after over 20 years of riding nearly 250,000 miles, Blue succumbed to cancer on November 11, 2014. Up until his last days he loved to ride and it was his hope, as well as his families, that the Angels remain together and continue riding and loving the open road as much as Blue did.

The Angels have no specific restrictions of membership. The only requirement would be that members maintain a safe bike. All riders are encouraged to complete a motorcycle safety course. To be an official member one must invest $12.00 to buy a Blue's Angels Cap. After that huge expense, there are no dues or fees.

The main goals are:

- to keep the group going forever

- to keep it simple and informal

- to keep the prayers flowing for all in need
