What a wonderful Day

Yes Angle Jim B and I had a great ride Wednesday. The weather was beautiful at 7 AM as we headed out on Goldfield Rd. We went to Brown and to Ellsworth, and right on User Hy-waw, then on to Bush Hy-way to the 87 Hy-way north to the 188 on to Butcher Hook. We had a great breakfast and some good conversation. It was still in the 70's as we headed for the 60 west. We were doing great until we came upon a lane closer. We sat there for a good 15 minutes before we got started, I was low on fuel by the time we got to the tunnel. By the time we got to Superior, I was halfway into reserve. I have the 7-gallon tank and it took 6.753 gallons. I was lucky gas is 90 cents cheaper there than AJ.
I was planning a ride to Pine on Saturday. But late that night I got a 9:00 AM airport run and called Jim I had to cancel my ride, We rode 173 miles with an elapsed time of 5 hours. Oh, I forgot I had over 41 miles on my bike when we left. So when I got gas I had 214 miles on my bike.

                                        See you sone Paul B

Saturday 9/9/23

Well, surprise Angles! Here I am. Bobbie and I decided to take the Spyer for breakfast. We went to the Little Mesa Cafe. The food was terrible and way overpriced. We decided not to go there again. It was 32 miles round trip. We left home at 6:45 a.m. and got home at 9:00 a.m. The weather was about 95 degrees. When we left home it was 83 degrees   Sorry I wrote that backward. I'm hoping the weather starts to cool down by the time some of you get back. Ride safe for the rest of the Summer. See some of you soon.

STURDAY 8/5.23

Good morning Angles, not much riding here in AZ weather has been in 3 digits about all summer, besides I don't like riding alone. Jim is so busy with his teaching government priest. and taking care of places here in the park.and his and Sandy's rental in Co. Jay asks me to inform all of you that he is giving up his storage lot on Baseline. It is in a secured lot 24 / 7. It is 80 dollars a month, and 40 feet long. It will be avail Sept, 1st.
I have been under the weather for more than 3 weeks. I don't usually get headaches, but for the last 3 weeks, I have had killer ones. Ride safe and I'll see some of you in Sept.
I don't know if you heard about this new pacemaker called upper chamber or not. I guess I qualify. and will have it shot up in my heart too. watch yourself as you get older don't take any chances.

RE: My surgery

Paul, it's so good to hear that your pacemaker was successfully installed, and that you are again back functioning.  Jeanquarts and I learned that last night when we tried to call, finding you gone to some events at the park. I'm sure.

I've been enjoying Wisconsin on the road this week. The first leg was to Wisconsin Dells, where I visited my friend John who lived in Northfield for years. We went up to the Oshkosh EAA Airplane show on Monday. There must be 100,000 people coming each day.. An interesting sidebar is that they are asked to bring a tent and stay on the field under the wing of their plane..

On Tuesday. I rode to Door County north of Green Bay; making the circle trip from Cave Point County Park to Sister Bay and the famous. communities along the road back to Jeanquarts at New Franken.  Their new home is very nice, and they have so many projects!  I especially like their '57 Plymouth Fury.  They should drive it in parades!

We enjoyed breakfast together with Al and Marie Servais while a welcome shower came through.  I left for home at 10:30 AM and never saw another drop of rain.  It was a great 1000 mile road trip.

Phil

Glad to hear everything is going good.  Sunday Max & I rode to National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa Iowa.  Had a lot of neat things there.  Museum is going to close and most everything is being auctioned Starting September 6

Hi Gang, My pacemaker is in my heart, with a 15-year battery life. So looks like you all wii have to put up with me till I'm at less 107 years old. Ha Ha! I can't ride my bike for 20 days, and can't drive for 10 days. What a bummer. I have a Airport run to Mesa Friday so Bobbie will have to stay up past her bedtime. to drive me. I might cheat a couple of days and do it myself. Bobbie says I'm heeling fast as long as I don't lift anything over 10 lbs.

                                            See you all soon Paul
