Five riders were left in the Blue's Angels lineup at the Chevron this morning. Today is Dan's last ride for the season, and he was given his choice destination:  Eloy airport to watch the skydivers. It was one of those perfect days, and we were given a special treat as a group of 42 skydivers assembled to form a "star" as they descended.

We entered a different world as we mingled; people packing chutes and rushing past in batwing outfits to meet their groups.  There were many flights, and divers constantly coming in on the tarmac. We had Dennis to tell us what they were doing, and soon 2 planes left with about 25 divers in each.  They climbed to about 13,000 ft, discharging their group, which formed their star maneuvers in less than 90 seconds of freefall.  In a short time it was over and the airborne arrived right before us!

The Angels turned South past Picacho Peak, which had a few yellow flowers on its slopes.  We rode across the Park Link Road where the Saguaros and Chollo plants are turning dark from the drought, and were home by 1:00 PM.  What a wonderful day in AZ!  Our trip was 170 miles in 3:20 hours lapsed time @ average 52 mph.

The ride  next Wednesday will be to Ma's kitchen along the shores of Roosevelt lake, where we will find the lake near capacity.  Have a great weekend wherever you are.
