Fwd: I made the ride

I realize that the weather was clearing as the afternoon advanced, so I left about 2 PM to make the ride to Winkelman, globe and return. I was interested in looking for a campsite, but the only available site was Winkelman city Park, which is not a great place.

There were a few scattered raindrops on my faring as I left town, but that was the only rain. At the Winkelman speedway, there was sunshine and 64° that soon turned to 46° at the peak elevation on the way to Globe . I was well dressed and rode out the cold temperatures and wind in the mountains. So, the best remembered trips are the challenging ones.    Phil
